How does the process work?

How does the process work?

The process is as straight forward as we could possibly make it. First, we ask you to answer a number of questions from four different areas that check:

  • General Information
  • Careers Interest
  • Preferred work environment
  • Sense of Self and Wellbeing (what emotional attributes must a career have)

The responses are brought together and three careers plus related options are created and added to your profile.

If you’ve bought the enhanced plan, you’ll also get support with CV writing, covering letters, application forms, sources of vacancies and interview preparation etc.

Career Fancy introduces a number of career options suited to you based on your responses to a series of fact-finding questionnaires, career ideas that will allow you to see what you can achieve and what you need to do to get there. It is the analysis of the interaction of these results that are used to build your profile and show you how you can be happy, content and thrive in a new role.

There’s always a possibility a client may not agree with what we’ve come up with. However, this is often because they have not completed all the questionnaires or not completed them honestly. Furthermore, if there is a different career the client has in mind they are given the option of having that included as part of the main three careers suggested.

Lastly, it has to be remembered areas like this can be subjective i.e. they are open to different interpretation despite the fact the initial facts (in this case the responses from the questionnaires) may be the same.

Can I get information on a career I’ve just thought of?

Of course. If there is a career not covered by the main three we have provided data on, then we can re-build the profile with a new one. This could be one of the related careers we stated as part of the original nine, or something completely different i.e. something you’ve thought of off the top of your head. However, there will be a cost for this. Please see our pricing page for further details.
